Wow, this last week turned out WAAYYY busier then I expected. Life does that sometimes, I guess. At least I have the Lord as ruler of my life, so when my life gets busy, I know He is in control if I let Him be! So His control of my busy week was actually really good! I was blessed to be able to attend a women's retreat this weekend. And it was nice, no sleep~ but great fellowship. I am actually (after only 8 hours of sleep, with 3 hours the night before...) feeling really good today, refreshed and ready for this next week!
If you haven't seen, I am doing a giveaway, and am also a party of the Ultimate Blog Party. SO check those out, there are lots of giveaways at the UBP.
Don't forget also, our Spring Cleaning segment. We are cleaning our Master or Second bathroom, OR any other areas that you need to have Spring Cleaned in this next week! Join us Monday morning for that, so you can link up.
Also Join us Tuesday, we will be starting a segment called "Homemade". This is where I am going to be make things by hand, and (hopefully) showing you how you can also do it!
Now, to the meals! I've got 2 birthday boys to celebrate this week (if you remember I had one last week too!), my oldest son, Deklyn and my hubby! AND this week is also Spring Break for us, so busy, busy, busy!!!

This Weeks Meals

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We had a pretty good one. But it is getting stinkin' cold again. It is supposed to get down to 3 degrees tonight... (think warm thoughts, think warm thoughts....)

There we go.... it's not cold out. I know because I am here on the beach, getting a sunburn and lovin' life...
Ah, who am I kidding?
I'm not fooling this dude, he knows cold. AND IT IS COLD!!!Anyways, I think I had enough fun with clip art....
.
I am going to retry my baking day Monday. Since my last one was a FLOP.
.
Thank you for the recipe for bread, Genesa! I will probably be trying it! And the rest of the week, I have pretty much the same as every other week, Worship practice, Church and Women's Ministry. My boys are feeling better, I hope they continue to get well this week! At least we aren't waking up in the wee-hours of the mornin'... Mommy likes.
OK, Down to business! Here are our meals for this week:
.
Monday- Vegetable Soup with grilled ham and cheese
Tuesday- Cavatini & bread w/ frozen fruit (from this summer!)
Wednesday- Salmon, corn & potatoes
Thursday- Chicken Noodle Soup (homemade) and bread
Friday- Pizza & Chips
Saturday- I cannot figure out what to have this night... We will be flying by the seat of our pants this night... or just have left-overs (we will see!)
Sunday- Lunch will be Whole Chicken in a Crockpot w/ Veggies
.
I have a lot of bread in the menu this week. But I am counting on my baking day to go well! I didn't figure up the costs for the meals but as usual, my meals will be as cheap as $2. and as much as $6.
.
So, what are YOU eating this week?

This Week Meals
So far we have survived the frigid temps that have hit us here in Northern Indiana. It got down to -18 (that I saw for myself) and wind chill was like -30. We didn't lose any animals (I prayed for those crazy things...). And the boys only missed one day of school. So I didn't go too loony.Right now, I am happy to report that it is a sweltering 18 degrees. And I am sitting close to the pellet stove, in my church clothes and my robe (FYI- I did not wear my robe to church.). THAT is how sweltering it is...
Last week my husband had training, but will be home most of this week, so we are happy!
Brief health report: Caden went through a cold pretty quick this week, but now baby Koen has a cough. Oh, and a new tooth (#3!)! He was not happy about it, but I think he will get over it (until next time).
So, MEALS. This week, I found the organization geeks oasis HERE. And started organizing my very filled pantry. And after doing about half of it, I have a list of things I need, which surprises me. Looking at my cupboard you wouldn't think I need much but I DO! SO the pantry and freezer organization sheets are EXTREMELY helpful. If you hate going to the cupboard expecting to find a certain item, then don't find it; you would love those printables... And finally, meals:
Monday: Baked Mac-n- Cheese (homemade)($1.50)
Tuesday: Scalloped Potatoes and Ham ($2.75)
Wednesday: Spaghetti & sausage ($2.00)
Thursday: Salmon patties, mashed potatoes & veggie ($1.50 for the Salmon at Aldi's, free mashed potatoes and free frozen veggies last week at Meijer!)
Friday: Tacos ($5., we have company this night!)
Saturday: Leftovers (boys will be gone half the day for Boy scout Pine Derby Races!) (free!!!)
Sunday: Roast & Veggies ($6)
So, what are YOU eating this week? To see upcoming deals at your grocery store, go here! Have a great week!

Our Week, in Pictures
One week ago, we went to a Christmas Tree farm down the road. We road on a horse pulled wagon, then got off and cut our own tree. Here are my precious boys:
Here we all are waiting for the horse to come back and pick us up:

Here is Sunday, and Thanksgiving with my husband's family. We did pictures of all of the kids. Here are my boys again:
Here are nana and pa, with all 11 of their grandchildren (ages 10 to 8 months):

On Sunday (late) night, I got a call that they were rushing my dad to the hospital. Thank you all for praying for him. Please continue, they are running some more tests this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Here is my dad and Caden:

Hope you all had a great week.

Here is a picture of my Christmas Cactus. It has bloomed during the summer, it has bloomed in the fall, but this is the first year, in MANY years, that it has actually bloomed (close to)the time when it is supposed to!

Here are the finishing touches made on the tree last night:

And Here is our nice little tree:

And here is today, snowing.... And current temperature as I type is 28 degrees, which is warmer then it was yesterday (about 10 degrees warmer). But it is snowin' and blowin' today. Florida, your sunny beaches sound so wonderful right now.... But I will stick it out until after Christmas. Then, I will REALLY start complainin'! =)

Hope you all had a great week.

Trying to "Take Back" my Week!
Wow, this week has really been a long week! My dad was in the hospital, but tonight was released and is now home. With no real answers. Which does not sit well with me! So I continue to pray, because tonight I know he isn't feeling well again. Please pray with me.
But, I was able to do SOME things today, to catch up. But not a lot, because I still went to the hospital for a little while. I just don't like hospitals. It's a good thing I have had some good company when I go! ;)
So- I didn't get a Weekly Menu done for the week. All has gone OK so far, but I'm not sure if it will continue... We did a turkey noodle soup last night. I got to use up the last of the turkey from the weekend. Tonight we did Cavatini before the boys had a Christmas Program at school.
I started to write in my new pocket calendar today! Did I mention I got my pocket calendar for FREE? Yes, free. I get a lot of great coupons and free stuff from Vocalpoint.com. Go on, sign up! I got my free pocket calendar from Vocalpoint & Crest. It included some coupons for 1 free and several $1. off of Crest Weekly Clean, a new toothpaste. I've also got numerous other great coupons and samples from them.
I also need to regain control of my coupon book. Yes, I have a coupon book, and yes, it is definately OUT OF CONTROL. Maybe I will post about that at a later date.
We also have one sad little Christmas tree in our living room. He's just sittin' there, undecorated. He's been there since Saturday evening. Poor dude. We just didn't have any lights for him. I mean any WHITE lights for him. I have to have white.
I also want to start making some of my gifts, that I am going to be making this year. I am going to make my boys some robes. They have been BEGGING for robes for at least 2 years, if not more. I am also going to make them a few other fun things. Maybe batman or superman capes? A wallet? Maybe even a sock monkey for the baby boy. There are a few other things I cannot mention on here, because some people my find out what they are getting for Christmas! Hehehehe!
Well, this is really lofty for the week, so it may drift over into next week. Oh, one more thing, I need to repaint my nails! Darn it, I've been nervously picking at them all week, time to start again!
Are any of YOU making any gifts for Christmas? How has your week been going? I've missed hearing from you all!
