I want to add, my condition is still showing signs of being better, and I couldn't be MORE pleased with using this Coconut Oil.

As a quick recap, I have been using Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil for 3 weeks now, and as I was using it, I was also reading all of the health benefits of using REAL coconut oil (not like the kind you find at most regular grocery chains). One of the conditions that could be improved by using coconut oil was intestinal problems, which I have. So, I started monitoring my progress and almost immediately, I found improvement! I was SO excited! So, after 3 weeks of using this product, I have actually placed another order! It is SO important to me to keep my health up so I can be there for my husband and my 4 active little boys!

If you don't know that much about REAL Coconut Oil, read my REVIEW HERE. Or do a search on the Internet, including your condition and the words coconut oil. There is a lot out there! Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil- Review & Freebie!!!!

Image of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil - 16 oz. Tropical Traditions offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on the 16 oz trial size of our Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil.

A while back, I got the privilege of trying Coconut Oil from Tropical Traditions. Tropical Traditions, as I have heard from many family members and acquaintances, is a WONDERFUL place to buy organic food items. I decided to do some checking out on my own. Because I of course want to be healthy and would LOVE to IMPROVE our health!

So, Tropical Traditions was wonderful enough to send me a jar of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, and a book about Virgin Coconut Oil.

First of all, I was delighted to find out that the founder of the company is a Christian! And he even has a part in his book explaining his relationship with Christ and how you can also have one! Refreshing!

Second, I tried the coconut oil in frying potatoes on the stove, and OH. MY. GOODNESS. These were the MOST WONDERFUL I have even tasted! They were the normal fried potatoes but with a hint of coconut flavor! I added a small bit of sea salt to them and I can imagine we will someday be eating THOSE in Heaven! =)

Third, I am anxious to see how my health will improve! Most of you don't know, but I suffer from IBS, which is a not so fun issue with my bowels. Coconut Oil, I discovered in my readings, is supposed to help STOP the symptoms of IBS! OH HAPPY DAY! Now, that I know that I have been monitoring my intake of coconut oil, trying to get in at least 1-3 tablespoon to my diet each day. I am a BELIEVER in this product! I am ready to now place my first order with them. It has been about a week and a half with NO symptoms of my IBS, and it has been such a HUGE blessing! I am seriously THANKING GOD each morning for this product. I can't believe what an improvement this has already been!

Here is a brief rundown of health benefits that I have found, so far (REAL Coconut Oil is MULTI-PURPOSE!):

  • Hair Care and Skin Care (Great Moisturizer and Healing for different skin related issues)
  • Heart Disease (Contains 50% Lauric Acid, which is great for your heart!)
  • Weight Loss
  • Pancreatitis
  • Digestive Problems (aids in absorbing the right nutrients!)
  • Immunity (great for immune system, and great as an antiviral!)
  • Healing (speeds up healing of damaged tissue)
  • Infections (of ALL sorts!)
  • Liver (great source of fatty acids that the liver needs)
  • Kidneys (helps in preventing kidney and gall bladder diseases and in dissolving kidney stones)
  • Diabetes
  • Bones (absorbtion!)
  • Dental
  • HIV & Cancer
  • Sun protection
  • Thyroid Health
  • and MANY MORE!!!
If you want to find out more in depth information on any of these ailments and the benefits of using Coconut Oil with it, just do a search like "coconut oil and Diabetes" or "coconut oil and antibacterial". I encourage you to do your OWN research!

Also be sure to check out the Tropical Traditions web site. They frequently run deals on products that make them more affordable. But you cannot put a price on the good health of your family! Check them out!

Like I said, this is one product I will probably use for the rest of my life! I have seen the results and I am going to be able to do (and EAT) more of those things that I enjoy! If you have any questions for me on this product, PLEASE e-mail me!

Tropical Traditions has even offered to send you a FREE Virgin Tropical Coconut Oil Book (like the one I got!), with your first order to them! All you have to do is enter "5366195" as a referral code!!!

If you have any of the major issues that I have listed above, please do some research on Coconut Oil! Check out the Tropical Traditions site and see what wonderful products they have to offer!

Envirosax, Review and Giveaway!

OK, I do a lot of shopping. I am not going to lie. I have 4 boys and a hubby, and it's like feeding an army. Their appetites are getting bigger and bigger...

So, when I go grocery shopping and I get enough food to feed my small army, I get home and put everything away, and am left with a gazillion plastic bags. Anyone hear what I'm sayin'?

And no, I never just throw them out (unless there is a big tear in it or something). I always use then for a liner in our bathroom trash, or to throw those really stinky baby bombs in... But, the pile usually grows and grows. I actually HATE those bags. I hate that they accumulate so quickly. I hate that the people at the grocery only pack one or two things in each bag. I hate that there just aren't many uses for all of those CRAZY BAGS!

Anybody else with me?

I love having my own reusable bags to take with me to the store. The problem with the 2 that I have, is that they are so big to carry! So I have to tuck them under my arm and hope they don't fall out while I throw my baby up on my hip, and grab my purse and coupons. Oh yeah, then lock the doors of my truck. Then balance all of these very important items in wind/ rain/ sleet/ snow... praying that I won't drop anything...

There is good news in all of this! I have found a WONDERFUL solution! They are called ENVIROSAX! This company has made all other reusable bag companies run home crying to their mamas... (hehehe) Just look at some of their GORGEOUS reusable grocery bags:

Here is mine, it is from the Mikado collection:

Oh, and there is more, MUCH MORE. And they are all as gorgeous as the ones I showed you. It gets even BETTER. They also sell packs of 5 of these beauties, like this:

You wanna know how big this is in actuality? Well, one folded reusable grocery bag folds up, nicely and EASILY into about the size of the palm of your hand (long ways). The bag then expands to a very nice size, probably enough to haul 4-5 big boxes of cereal, with extra room for some small stuff. It could haul lots of smaller boxes and canned items.

I also, keep this folded up in my purse for those "just in case" times. Like at church this Sunday. I took my accordion file folder and Bible with me, along with my purse. Which is no problem... then I get to church and was handed a CD right away. Along with a small stack of papers. I have a wonderful friend who also gets a newspaper for me. And the boys all hand me their wad of projects after class. Now NORMALLY, I have full hands. But I remembered I had the BEAUTIFUL bag in my purse, and so I whipped that puppy out! I filled it with all of my newly found "treasures", and it EASILY accommodated everything. WITH ROOM TO SPARE. I love it.

Have I told you how much I love it? =)

Well, I think you get the point here. Now here is the GREAT NEWS...

YOU could win an Envirosax POUCH, in the Mikado pattern (the pouch pictured above COULD BE YOURS!) !!! Katy, and the wonderful people at Envirosax are giving one of these pouches to one very blessed person!!!
WOO HOO!!!

OK, now contain yourself. The next bit of info is also VERY IMPORTANT. If you live anywhere on this Earth, you can enter this giveaway! YES! ANYWHERE! YAY!!!

Emerson Creek Pottery = LOVE!

Emerson Creek Pottery.

I came across them the other day, and I fell in LOVE. I decorate in primitive/ antique/ country. I love finding great yellow ware bowls at garage sales or auctions. I love finding great old kitchen stuff that has been worn and loved.

Look at this beauty:

Yeah. That's my new coffee mug. And I love it. Absolutely. It is heavy. And it "looks" old. It's handmade. It's called "Go Green", and it is from Emerson Creek Pottery. They have more where that came from:

It's so beautiful! Here is some more great stuff about this line:
  • It is lead-free, non-toxic and safe for daily use, unlike the majority of ceramics sold in the big box stores today.
  • Each lovely piece is crafted by hand, keeping your family's planet greener.
  • Emerson Creek Pottery's Go Green Earthware ceramics are made in the USA, supporting the economy in which your family lives.

I am ALWAYS a fan of things made in the USA. Especially in this economy. And a big fan of "safe for my family" too. And I, as an artist can appreciate hand made, and how unique each items truly is. I hate buying JUNK that is going to fade or have to be thrown away in a year. These pieces are timeless, and of heirloom quality.

If you aren't into the "old" like I am, there is definitely more. Here is a piece from their "cranberry" line that I liked too:

There are lines for every taste! As well, as season!

Well, Rebecca and the wonderful people at Emerson Creek Pottery are willing to give my beautiful readers (yes, that is all of you!) a 10% discount on all orders over $25.! The code is BH809. This code will be good until 8/31/09.

So, if you are looking for some great, unique pottery from a wonderful company, look no further then Emerson Creek.

Bubble Planner- Review & Giveaway!

I am a list person. If I don't have a list, I don't have my brain. I am great at thinking ahead and planning, but it all very quickly escapes my brain, then as quickly as it came... it is gone.

Well, the other day, I came across something called the Bubble Planner. The word "planner" always intrigues me, as well as the word "bubble" used with it. =) I read into it and thought it sounded like something I had to try.

Bill, from the Bubble Planner Company graciously sent me a Bubble Planner for Busy Women AND a grocery list.

Now this planner is super simple and easy to use. I thought it would be a little more complex, but it really is very easy! User Friendly! On the inside are pages for goal setting (of all kinds), projects, places to keep track of birthdays, and calendars. There are also the planning bubbles like shown here:

On each open page there are places to make phone calls, computer work, house work and running errands. And in the bubbles you can fill out what you need to do each day. Like mine for today~ calls I had to make were to a campground to change reservations, and to call my aunt. Computer work was to blog about the bubble planner! House work was to do laundry, to start the dehydrator, and to finish putting away things from my trip. Errands- I had nothing for today. And it is that easy! As you do them you could mark them off or whatever. Nothing hard to do, just a written reminder of the things you want to accomplish! I am loving mine so far!

And the grocery list, well, those are ALWAYS nice to have. This one even has reminders at the top, as well as a "don't forget your coupons" reminder! Like it!

One last thing. When I got the Bubble Planner in the mail, Bill, who I have been talking to, wrote a message hoping I liked the planner and after his signature wrote "Pr. 16:3". I instantly went to my Bible to look up Proverbs 16:3. Here is what it says:

Pro 16:3 "Ask the LORD to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out. "

How awesome! What a great company!

Would you like to purchase a planner from Bubble Planners? When you make a purchase of a planner, you can enter the code moms and get a free grocery list (with your planner)! Awesome!

Eco Store- Review & Giveaway!

I was recently contacted by Eco Store, a company who makes eco friendly, plant-based household cleaning products. They sent me 2 products to try out. They sent me the Citrus Spray Cleaner and the Baby Body Wash.

The first thing I tried out was the Citrus Spray Cleaner. I happened to have, at the time, red kool-aid on my white laminate counter top. Which I usually have a tough time getting out. I sprayed down my counters with the cleaner, and wiped it up with a wash cloth. To my satisfaction, it was clean! The smell? Well, there really isn't much of a smell. Definitely no chemical smell. Which makes me happy! I HATE using chemicals on my counters and table. I know our food touches these surfaces and I want them clean, but I don't want to fear the chemicals on them either. This cleaner made me feel very good about my counters.

Second, I tried the Baby Body Wash. It got sudsy like it needs to, and it washed clean. The smell? I had a very light eucalyptus-y smell. After bath, the skin felt nice and soft. And smelled clean! Plus, you know it makes you feel good when you are putting something on your baby's skin that has no nasty chemicals!

They have a lot of products ranging from Baby care, to bath, to household & laundry. They even have pet care products!

I would personally recommend their products!

Eco-Store has recently been sold in the USA, and is available throughout the MidWest in most Meijer stores. Yes! You probably have seen these products but never paid much attention to them! They are also available on-line from their web site. And will be expanding nationally!

So, does this sound like something you'd like to try? Well, you can WIN a $25 gift certificate here to EcoStore on-line! Here is how:

  • Go to EcoStore on-line and tell me which products you would like to try.
  • Sign-up for the EcoStore newsletter on their blog (for Updates, coupons, deals and more!), and leave me a comment telling me you did.
  • Twitter about this giveaway, and leave a link.
  • Blog about this giveaway, and leave a link.
  • Follow our blog, or tell us you already are.
  • Subscribe to our blog, or tell us you already are.

There you go! Another great Eco-Friendly product!

Giveaway ends 07/12.

EcoStore is also giving one person a chance to win $500 Visa Card! This is good through June 29th, so enter before then!

Review & BIG Giveaway!- Kiss My Face

This Giveaway is now CLOSED!!! Thanks for Entering!
Recently, I was blessed with being able to try out many products from Kiss My Face. I actually got to try some things from 3 different lines: Sheer Organic Shine/ Shimmer, Potent & Pure, and Get Out & Stay Out Sun Care line.

Sheer Organic Shine/ Sheer Organic Shimmer

Sheer Organic Shine are all glosses, Sheer Organic Shimmer are all tints. I don't mind wearing lipstick, but most of the time, I just want a little something on my lips that looks like I am not trying too hard. You know, natural. Well, these 2 lip products are perfect for those times! The glosses give just a little more shine, so you could apply this before you would go out. And the Shimmers are a natural tint that makes you look very natural, but with more! Each one of these comes in 6 great colors. I loved wearing both of these. My favorite had to be the tints though, I loved how they didn't make me feel too "done up" (compared to regular lipstick).

Potent & Pure

Wow. That is the word that comes to mind when I think about trying all of the wonderful items from their complete facial care system. First thing I noticed was the great, fresh smell. Second, how smooth and gentle all of the items felt on my face as I used them. Third, I noticed how clean my face was! I have been using this system for about 4 days now and I haven't had any "new" breakouts on my normally oily, acne prone skin. I am definitely happy with that. In this group, if I had to choose a favorite, I have to be honest and say I couldn't! They all rank right at the top. I have really enjoyed this system!

Get Out & Stay Out, Sun Care

I was very excited to see these products! I haven't found any sun care products that I loved yet. Not even any that I liked! I am very leery of what I put on my kid's skin when they are out in the sun. Chemicals freak me out a little. But I cannot wait to try all of these products out. These are all paraben free! Paraben is a chemical that can cause cancer, and it can even mimic estrogen (I did a little search!). So it is really important to stay away from paraben, especially important as a woman! I am also very excited to try the 2 kinds with citronella in them. I have been wanting to get my kids something safe, instead of spraying all of those chemicals on their skin. Your skin soaks up everything that you put on it, and takes it inside your body. You don't want anything un-natural in there!

Ok, ok... You heard about how great I think Kiss My Face products are... But one lucky winner will also get to experience how great these are also!

I could hardly believe it when I opened a package and found all of this inside:

Yes. Over $400. worth of product here!!! And all of this will be going to one of you, IF you are the winner! What do you have to do to enter??? Ah, I am glad you asked:

  • Go on the Kiss My Face website and tell me another product you would like to try.

  • Tell me WHY you would like to try all of these fabulous products.

  • Subscribe to this blog (or tell if you already have).

  • Become a Follower of this blog (or tell me if you already have).

  • Blog about this giveaway, then leave a link.

  • Twitter about this giveaway, then leave a link.

Please leave a separate comment for each of the ways to win above. This giveaway closes on June 29th, so don't dilly-dally! Enter now! =)

Hip-T, Review and Giveaway!

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED! THANKS FOR ENTERING!

I don't know about you, but my white tank top is my "fashion" friend. I hardly go a day with out my white tank top layered under a shirt. I go through these like you wouldn't believe. They end up getting shrunk in the wash and then, you don't have a layer anymore, you just have 2 shirts on. I like to "layer" because I have a long body, and jeans just don't fit around my waist, and so when I bend down to pick up a kid or to sit anywhere, I am usually doing the "tug". Yanking down the back of my shirt so no one will see my undies, or more... If you know what I'm sayin'...

I got something called the Hip-T. I tried it, and it helped tremendously with the "tug". I actually wore it all day. I wore it to the grocery (up and down, in and out of cars, with babies and groceries...), I wore it around the house, I wore it to worship practice at church. And I have to say I loved it!

I actually wore a shirt that is a longer shirt. But when I bend down or over, the long shirt quickly becomes a short one. With the Hip-T, I didn't have to worry about showing more then I want to!

I am also excited about this for the summer. In the summer, people asked me all the time how I can wear 2 tank tops when it is so hot! Now, with the Hip-T, I can wear one, and still get all of the coverage that I want and NEED!

Here is a pic of the Hip-T that they sent me (this is not me BTW, I only wish I had abs like this after 4 kids):

So, I love it! How would YOU like a chance to win one???!!! Hip-T's is graciously giving one winner THEIR CHOICE of one Hip-T! What is your style? You choose it!

Here is what you need to do to get a chance to win! (open to US and Canadian residence)

  • GO to the Hip-T site and tell me which Hip-T YOU would like to win!
  • Share with us which fashion accessory YOU can't live without (like my white tank!).
  • Subscribe to my blog (or tell me you already are).
  • Become a Follower (or tell me you already are).
  • Blog about it (and leave a link).
  • Twitter about it (and leave a link).

Leave a separate comment for each one of these so you get several chances to win!

Review/ Giveaway- Celebrate Chocolate Truffles

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED! THANKS FOR ENTERING!

I was recently contacted by Laura at Celebrate Truffles, and sent 2 packages of their truffles. Like these:

Of course, I was all for anything to do with chocolate...

So, What is the difference between these and any other truffle? These are all natural AND they help curb your appetite! Here is what they tell us on their site:

  • Savor Premium Hand-Made Chocolates
  • Satisfy your hunger - Rich, never-bitter, rare cocoa from an ancient recipe
  • Cut your cravings - Quickly absorbed nutrients deliver quick satisfaction
  • Maximize your nutrition - Concentrated nutrients from 59 whole foods
  • Increase your Omega 3/DHA - Feed your heart and brain these vital nutrients
  • Boost your antioxidants - Premium cocoa delivers superb natural antioxidants
  • Naturalize your beauty - Smoother skin, silkier hair, stronger nails
  • Enjoy Low Glycemic Chocolate - for those who watch their blood sugar
  • Delightfully 100% All Natural

Awesome when all of that can be combined with CHOCOLATE!

Like I said, they sent me the 2 packages above and asked me to try them out and give an honest opinion. Well, honestly they are delicious! My favorites were of course the straight up chocolate and dark chocolate versions.

I also tried them before a meal to see if they really did curb any extra hunger. And here also, I have to say I think it did. I usually tried these before lunch, and so I ate one about 20 minutes before I ate my lunch. On these days, my life had been pretty hectic and lunch was fast and not great. On days when lunch is like that, I usually end up doing a lot of snacking. But on the days when I tried the Celebrate Truffles, I did not do all of the snacking I would have normally done.

Weight loss is not important to me, I have been blessed with not having to worry about that, and with intestinal issues, if you can call that a blessing... But one thing that is VERY important to me is nutrition, and good healthy ingredients, and I was extremely impressed with the ingredients in these truffles. I knew what all of the ingredients were! That is rare.

So, now on to the good part for YOU! The GIVEAWAY!

To one lucky winner, Celebrate Truffles is giving the 2 sampler boxes pictured above!

Here is what you need to do:

  • Tell me why you would like to try these!
  • Bookmark their new website, HERE.
  • Blog about this giveaway.
  • Become a follower of this site (or tell me you already are!)
  • Become a Subscriber to this site (or tell me you already are!)

That's it! Giveaway end on June 12th at Midnight!

Mineral Basics Make-up, Review and Giveaway!

This Giveaway has ENDED! Thank you for Entering!

Look at this wonderful stuff! This is what I got in the mail today! I instantly went and washed off my other (horrible) make-up, and applied this Mineral Make-up by Mineral Basics.
There are 7 pieces that they sent me.
.
They sent me a mini Kabuki Brush.
.
(The following is a description from their site, and also what they sent)
.
1. Light Neutral Foundation (5 grams powder by weight in 20-gram sifter jar...90 day supply! FULL JAR!) ...for light skin with balanced undertones. One of our most popular shades! Achieve great coverage for acne, scars, bruising, veins, rosacea and more, while looking totally natural and flawless! Also provides a natural sunscreen!

2. True Blush- a neutral, dusty rose blush, perfect for just about any skin tone! (5 gram jar)

3. Perfect Tan Bronzer/All-Over Color- a brand new shade! Stunning matte rosy beige...gives skin a wash of natural tan color when used all over face...can also be applied to body or just as blush. My personal favorite shade!

4. Glow- perfect finishing powder that creates a soft, subtle glow all over! (5 gram jar)

5. Finishing Silk- final mineral powder that sets your makeup and gives a flawless, natural finish!! (5 gram jar)

6. Light Complete Cover Sample- a heavy concealer that can be used alone (as a foundation) or for spot-concealing. Has a matte finish and balanced undertones. Helps absorb excess oil. (1/4 teaspoon in baggie)
.
After I put on the Mineral Basics Make-up, I LOVED the way my face looked! It didn't look blotchy, like it does with other make-up. And I actually wear a make-up that you can buy in retail and drug stores that says it mineral make-up. But it sure doesn't compare to Mineral Basics! As I was looking at how good my skin looked, I touched my face and it was super soft!
.
I'm just layin' out all the cards now... I have oily and dry skin combo. Yeah, I know, nice to work with. I also am 32 and STILL have acne. I know, now your getting jealous. Coverage with Mineral Basics was very nice! It didn't TOTALLY cover the blemishes (but I am still learning how to apply the make-up correctly too), but it did a pretty good job of it. And I will also say it did a LOT better job then any make-ups I have tried in a while. Also, 8 hours later, after putting the make-up on, my skin doesn't look oily. Usually 10 minutes after I put on my old make-up, I look oily.
.
So, I have to say I am very impressed. I will DEFINITELY order more from Mineral Basics.
.
And NOW, I am excited to be giving away one of these sets, just like I got, in the skin color of your choice! They also ship WORLDWIDE!
.
Here is what you have to do to enter (leave a separate comment for each):
  • Tell us why you would like to win this set.
  • Visit the Mineral Basics site HERE and tell me what other product you would like to try.
  • Blog about this giveaway on you site, then leave us a link.
  • Twitter about this giveaway, and leave link.

What I knew about this product before I received it was, supposedly, you should be able to wash your laundry with NO DETERGENT, and dry the laundry with NO FABRIC SOFTENER... It sounded wonderful! But, I of course was a little sceptical of the claims.

So, I got all of the items pictured above in the mail, and was in luck because I had laundry 4 loads deep (as I USUALLY do!). So, I broke out the system and started putting it to work.

Basically, you throw the Laundry Ball in the washer with your laundry, and NO detergent. And run it like you normally do. After the first wash, I pulled the clothes out and I didn't see anything. Well, I mean no dirt, I didn't smell anything, good OR bad. So, I thought we would see how this load did with the Dryer Balls.

With the Dryer Balls there are 2 of these things, and you just throw both of them in your dryer with your clothes, with NO softener, and dry.

I took the clothes out of the dryer, and they looked like normal... Then I smelled them. They truly smelled like they had been hung out in the fresh air. They smelled CLEAN. I mean I LOVE the smell of all of the fancy dryer sheets. But this smelled CLEAN!

And I have continued to use the Laundry System for every load so far (about 10 loads), and I HAVE actually used laundry soap on a load of cleaning rags, that have chemicals and grime in them. And on a load of Undies (which I usually wash separate anyways), I used hot water. But no detergent...

I know, it seems a little scary! What if there are still germs? How do you know you are getting the stuff clean? How would a BALL CLEAN???

The Laundry Ball is about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and made of virgin PVC/Vinyl. There is a liquid inside the laundry ball, these are a "frequency enhanced mineral blend". The minerals move around inside the ball when it is agitating in the washer. And when the minerals hit each other, and energy field is created. It penetrates through the ball housing and takes away the surface tension of each water molecule, making the water thin, or fine. When the water is like that, it can actually travel through the fibers of your clothing much easier.

They also say that the Laundry Ball actually helps clean all old detergent fillers out of the garment. When this is left in the garments, the residue and fillers act as magnets to ATTRACT dirt and stains! So, after 3-4 washings with the Laundry Ball, all of the old residue will be gone, and with it goes much of the old dinginess and stains that were in the fabric. They say not ALL stains will come out, depending on the weave of the fabric. You are also reminded not to overload your washer (which I SO do! But am not going to do again!).

Like I said I have done about 10 load with the Wonder Laundry Ball, and I am impressed. I can't wait to see if I can start to see some our stains disappear!

The Dryer Ball will help keep clothes from clumping together, and not drying as fast. This should also help dry clothing faster then normal. I haven't noticed this myself, because my washer and dryer is in my basement and I have babies and lots of other things to do in a day, and don't keep track of the time. But the dryer ball seemed to work well. In the winter you may have to add a little softener on the wash, to keep the static down, but other then that I think these will be great!

The Wonder Laundry Ball is good for 3+ years or 2000 washes. And the Wonder Dryer Balls are good for a lifetime! Go HERE to order this amazing product. The Complete Laundry System is $49.95. So, 3 years of Laundry for $50!

I would normally probably spend at LEAST that in one year for JUST LAUNDRY. Plus the health benefits are worth it also. Go HERE and read all about the System and testimonials.

Book Review- Work In Progress, Ch. 1-3

I read through these first 3 chapters with ease! As I said before, this book is easy reading. You don't have to be "Bible Smart" to understand the emotion and the verses given, as she talks to you in her book. Kristin Armstrong's book, "Work in Progress" has some great points and quotes that I would like to share with you now:
  • Chapter One is on "Beauty". Kristin talked about how she strived to be beautiful, and successful. But she says, "My first point of confusion was interpreting beauty as something to be aspired to instead of a reflection of who we are." I liked that one. So often we try to be beautiful by do things to our "outer body". But who we are down to our very core tells us and others if we are truly beautiful!
  • I liked this quote from Chapter One also, " The more we allow ourselves to be transformed into His likeness, the more captivating, irresistible, and breathtaking we become."
  • Chapter 2 is "Confidence". Kristin in this part says that she had earlier in her life she "confused confidence with arrogance".
  • She also talks about in Chapter 2 that confidence isn't in us, it is in having God IN us.
  • I loved this quote in Chapter 2: " When I let go of my old ways and turned up my empty palms to God, I could imagine His voice on high: "There you go, sweetheart. Finally, after all of this time, you can be useful to Me."
  • Chapter 3 talks about a woman's curves, as in our softness, our gentleness, our love. "When we cultivate an edge, we cut."
  • She says, "Our strength lies not in our edges, but in our curves."

There were so many good points in these chapters but I don't want to give the whole book away.... YET! So, if you would like to have a chance at winning this book, enter HERE.

I will review more of the book very soon!

Book Review & Giveaway!

This giveaway has now ended! Thank you to all who entered!

I have been given an opportunity to review the book, "Work in Progress" by Kristin Armstrong. I was a little skeptical at first because well, do you recognize the last name, Armstrong? As in Lance? This book is by his ex-wife. I knew he had divorced and I felt badly for the woman behind the "ex". I guess I was skeptical because I had never heard of Kristin Armstrong's name as being a Christian writer.

But as I started the book, it was obvious she is no Bible scholar. But, I mean that in a very good way! She talks to you in her book, like she is right there with you. As an encouragement. It is very easy reading, and I was able to read 3 chapters in very little time. And it really gave me some things to think about, and I even broke out my highlighter to mark some things that I didn't want to forget.

Starting tomorrow, I will give some more reviews on what I have read. And next Friday, April 24th, midnight EST, I will be choosing 5 lucky people to own this book and read it for themselves. So, starting now enter! Here's what you have to do, to get one entry per item:
