Believing God

Do I really trust God's EVERY WORD?

My son, Austin, asked me today, "How do you make water?". I said, " We can't make water. God makes it." He looked at me a little confused and says, "Well, how does HE make it?". I told him I wasn't really sure. Austin said, "Is He magical?". Magical... "Well, no. Not MAGICAL, but He can do anything, and I'm not sure how He does it." Austin still looked a little confused but didn't ask any more questions.

Are WE like that sometimes? Do we not just trust things and we ask a lot of questions thinking there has to be some other answer? I will answer that for you because I already know yours and my answer. YES. "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved---you and your family." (Acts 16:31) But what do I need to DO? There HAS to be something, RIGHT? ahem...
"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Rom 10:13) I mean just call on His name??? So what else do I have to DO? " You are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ". (Gal. 3:26)

OK- do we get it yet?
Rom 5:1-9 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice on the hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we glory in afflictions also, knowing that afflictions work out patience, and patience works out experience, and experience works out hope. And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us. For we yet being without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will with difficulty die for a righteous one, yet perhaps one would even dare to die for a good one. But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Yes, just believing in Jesus, knowing that He had died for us, we will spend eternity with Him. We do not have to try to please Him. Because we are far from being able to do much that would be worthy of our Wonderful Savior.

Do you believe Him? I mean REALLY BELIEVE Him? God knows how very unintelligent we are, do you think He is really trying to make things complex? It's all very, very simple. BELIEVE.

**Editor's Note: There were some comments made, that I have erased. Believing DOES save a person. The thief on the cross believed and was saved. But, I am going to take my original entry a step further, and say BECAUSE we believe we would WANT to please him. Because I love God (greatest commandment), I want to please him by bringing people to the Lord, ministering in the church, doing things for people, etc.

Hey daughter you are great.
I know that God is smiling at his daughter and saying thank you for being faithful.
I to am so greatful to our father in heaven that he loves us so much that he gave his only Son to die for us. It says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death. Satan pays his servants..which ends in death but our Lord gives us the gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus!! I have received Jesus as my Savior In receiving Jesus as my Savior I am born again. I am now a child of God through faith in Jesus Christ. If I am born again then where is the old carolyn? She is dead. That old gal who use to live in my flesh is now dead. I have a new life. a spiritial life that life from Christ Jesus our Lord.Gifts are free.. And I am so excited to be his daughter and peaceful to know his love for me. I get up each day with Psalms 100:1 on my heart. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Serve the Lord with gladness.... what a wonderful joy to know I am his daughter.Keep up the good work daughter...love ya

Oh yes another passage I love is Eph.1:3-8 I am blessed; choosen; adopted; accepted and forgiven. Than I am lavished with all His wisdom and understanding and He made known to me the mystry of his will. Arent we so blessed? Isn't that so awsome. As I share my faith with others I get so excited to plant those seeds for Him, because I want to!! I desire to please Him.
