Being an Example

1Th 4:11-12 Make it your aim to live a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to earn your own living, just as we told you before. In this way you will win the respect of those who are not believers, and you will not have to depend on anyone for what you need.

Right now, we are in some scary financial times. And this is so great because it talks about keeping your nose out of other peoples business! We are to live how the Lord tells us to live. Not acting like spoiled brats and showing off what the Lord has blessed you with. But living a QUIET life.

I also think not depending on other people for what you need is great also. That is not to say you shouldn't accept help from others when you need it. But you shouldn't depend on it.

This is a great way of being an example for others to see. Be glad in what the Lord has given you and the life that He has also given us.
