God's Word- He is Our Protector!

Psa 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; I will fear no one. The LORD protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid.
Psa 27:2 When evil people attack me and try to kill me, they stumble and fall.
Psa 27:3 Even if a whole army surrounds me, I will not be afraid; even if enemies attack me, I will still trust God.
Psa 27:4 I have asked the LORD for one thing; one thing only do I want: to live in the LORD's house all my life, to marvel there at his goodness, and to ask for his guidance.
Psa 27:5 In times of trouble he will shelter me; he will keep me safe in his Temple and make me secure on a high rock.
Psa 27:6 So I will triumph over my enemies around me. With shouts of joy I will offer sacrifices in his Temple; I will sing, I will praise the LORD.

Wonderful reminder.

I write a running/healthy living blog. I recently lost over 41 lbs in a competition. On my blog, I put a faith statement that reads:

"I am a Christian and I give all of the glory of my weight loss to my Savior, Jesus Christ. Without Jesus, I would still be struggling and would not have made it this far. My failures over the years to lose weight were all mine. This time, I gave it to God and was victorious (reminds me of a great hymn "Victory in Jesus"). I pray that you know Jesus as your Savior and if you do not, I am happy to tell you more."

For some reason, I have received several emails recently telling me that I should not give God all of the credit. I felt attack in a sense, because I DO BELIEVE that God is what was the difference this time.

I felt it was my chance to witness for Jesus in my response to these emails... and I did, hopefully pleasing to God.

Psa 27:6 So I will triumph over my enemies around me. With shouts of joy I will offer sacrifices in his Temple; I will sing, I will praise the LORD. - love this part.... With God on my side... I fear no one!

I just found your blog and I feel blessed already. Have a glorious day being beautful 2 God!
