Spring Cleaning- Kitchen/ Dining Area

Are you up for the kitchen challenge this week??? I know my kitchen has been feeling left out of the spring cleaning thing and wants a piece of the cleaning action...
So, here we go!
Just some "fun" facts for you today...
Top Ten Dirtiest things in Your Home:
This coming from Howtocleanstuff.net
Several of these items you see here are found in the KITCHEN!
On another search of the GERMIEST places:
#1- Sponges (solution: run through dishwasher or in microwave)
#2- Women's purses (where do you set your purse when you potty in public? And then wash your hands?)
#3- Men's Wallets (you sit on them and keep them nice a warm...)
#4- Make-up Case
#5- Remote Control
#6- Pillows & Mattress (The average person sheds about 1.5 million skin cells per hour and perspires one quart per day while doing nothing...)
#7- Refillable liquid soap dispensers! (They suggest not to reuse them!)
#8- PDAs, Personal digital assistants ( like a Blackberry)
#9- Phones

Not looking like a good week for me to tackle my kitchen. My hubby still has a bit of drywall left to sand = lots of dust! Took my curtains down to wash and got the inside of my microwave and refrigerator/freezer wiped down. But wiping down anything else would be a waste of my time this week. It is such a bummer though because it is so rainy we can't be outside so it would have been an ideal week! Oh well. But once he is done sanding I won't have a choice but to wipe down my cabinets and shelves. The joys of fixing up a house and making it into our home!
