Groceries This Week

Today I went shopping, and I usually get to enjoy the company of my sister, Katie. But today, I also had a friend along with me. So, it was a nice trip today, even though the deals weren't that great, and coupon match-ups were nearly non-existent. Oh well, I think we still did pretty good.

Here is what we got for $62.

I spent $.97 at CVS for 3 boxes of cereal, toothpaste, 2 Adidas Deodorants.

I spent $.66 at Walgreens for Bayer Quik Aspirin, and 4 cans of tuna.

I spent $34. at Meijer, and $26. at Kroger. I got 9 boxes of cereal, 3 soy milk, 5 gal. milk, wheat flour, sugar, a large bottle of honey, 2 large containers of Old Fashioned Oats, yogurt, Kashi waffles (free with my coupon from Vocalpoint), 2 packages organic carrots, 1 bread, a bunch of bananas, tomatoes, sour cream, refried beans, another deodorant, strawberries, 3 taco seasonings, organic walnuts, 2 boxed pasta salads, salad, donut holes for the boys (special treat~ they are CRAZY for these, and they were marked down!), and pork chops.

So, how did YOU do this week???

Great trip for a poor coupon week!

I still have that Kashi coupon and can't seem to find the kashi stuff!
I'll look for the waffles. Was that at Kroger or Meijer??

I got them from Meijer. They were $2.79. So I didn't use my $1.50 off, I thought I would try Walmart and see if they were any cheaper...

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed comment on my blog. I really appreciate it.

The only thing I bought this week that wasn't on sale were the red peppers (they're normally $3.99/lb, I bought them for $2.99/lb this time, but normally won't spend more than $.99/lb). I shop the fliers AS A RULE.

The cheapest option for local chickens is $2.75/lb which is almost 3x what I bought them for at the store. I'm still contemplating it though since the ones from the store kinda scare me.

Have you ever made rice pasta? One of my sons has a wheat allergy. It makes things tricky. I would *LOVE* to be able to make it myself!

BTW, I love the name of your other blog. ;)
